Flag Burning – Doesn’t Work With Fire Retardant Flags!

A few months ago I went to the State of Origin Rugby League in Brisbane, which is an annual series between the Australian states of Queensland and New South Wales.

I went to the Queensland home game, and I came across a bunch of clowns practicing their Flag Burning skills – that is, trying to burn the New South Wales supporters flag.

Unfortunately for them, the flag was resistant to fire – so much in fact, it never took the flame, and there was enough time for the Police to tell them they were being idiots.

    This is certainly how not to burn a flag, but I am wondering if there is a right way to do it. I wouldn’t think there is a right way to burn anything in the middle of a crowd of drunkards.
