Iconic Images – Moo!
There’s nothing like capturing an iconic image when travelling around the world.
A lot of the time, it might be a cliche that you’re photographing, or sometimes it’s a stereotype that’s just been reinforced by the photo you’ve just taken.
Anyway, today’s featured picture proves the point that ‘cow do walk in the streets in India’
So today’s Iconic Image is of the Cow In the Street in India.
I did a quick trick to Bangalore, India recently and felt like I needed to walk off one of the many nice curries I had been devouring.
I can’t sit around and eat and do nothing! I get agitated pretty easily and need to burn off that nervous energy.
But that was a great move because I managed to capture this pic!

Anyway I was walking down the footpath and had to give way to this bovine beast – it didn’t care about me, and looked fairly streetwise! This scenario enabled me to capture an Iconic Images that creates travel folklore!
This cow was actually part of the traffic!
Only in India!
Once again, this is one of the joys of travelling – seeing something that you definitely won’t see at home.
And it’s one of the Iconic Images of India.

Anthony, I was born in India and spent my high school years there and you’re absolutely right, that image of the cow on the road will forever be my “iconic” image of India.
