Ski Dubai – Sub zero temperatures in the Desert!
Ski Dubai is one of those crazy projects that add to the list of the biggest and unusual things that go on in Dubai.
After visiting the world’s largest shopping mall, the world’s tallest building, and the world’s largest ring, you can go for a ski run down the slopes!
That’s right, all in the middle of a city that’s located at the edge of a desert!
I can’t imagine the amount of energy that is required to power this attraction that is used by both locals and visitors alike! Considering that it might reach 50 degrees Celsius during summer outside (which requires the use of airconditioned bus stops), it’s always a crisp -4 degrees Celsius inside the Ski Dubai complex all year round!
Ski Dubai is located in the Mall Of The Emirates. This mall “only” has around 500 shops when compared to the 1200 of the Dubai Mall, so there is much less chance of being lost in a labyrinth of stores that are out to make you part with your money!

I remember seeing this for the first time on tv years ago and was amazed. It seems as though there is nothing they won’t try to build in Dubai.
You’re right – if you build it, they will come!
All that’s left is for the Swiss or Greenlanders to create their very own tropical desert with sand dunes and palm trees.
Now, that would be ironic! You never know. If they build it, maybe they will come!
