Kayak Tours in the Pacific Ocean, New Zealand. The Real, and Fake of It!

Kayak Tours – I’m awesome ballast!

As part of The Great Crusade junket, we went on a cool NZ Seakayaking trip. This was good timing because I could feel my waistline expanding from the constant days of eating, drinking and not doing much exercise.

Plus being inside a campervan was causing me some cabin fever, so a day out on the open water was the perfect antidote. Anyway, I paddled around the Kowharewa Bay area for half a day, taking in the sun, water and wind with a few other Great Crusaders.

This is located near the town of Whangerei, in the northern part of the North Island of New Zealand.

I found out that because I’m probably the heaviest person in the group, is that I was stuck at the end of the biggest Sea Kayak available probably because this minimises the chances of it sinking…

Sea Kayaks – The Fake of it!

However, the film crew who is coming along on The Great Crusade decided to use us as extras. As part of this, the central character, Toby Withers, makes out that he’s an expert, but it all goes wrong.

Anyway, you can check out the interesting result below!
