Crocodile Facts – That Will Crap Your Pants!

If you’re travelling around the Gulf of Carpentaria region of Far North Queensland, Australiam, you will most likely go through a small town called Normanton that contains this enormous, and crazy statue of the biggest Crocodile ever caught in Australia – with some amazing Crocodile Facts to boot!

This giant prehistoric monster was 8.64 metres in length, or over an amazing 28 feet!

An adult could easily fit inside the jaws of this thing! And many tourists do just that when the lie next to this Crocodile replica.

Other interesting Crocodile Facts about the Crocodile:

  • The name of this Crocodile is Krys – named after the woman who shot him in 1957 (see more about the story here).
  • It’s estimated that this beast weight around 2 metric tonnes – enough for a big croc barbeque.

Ironically, the person who shot him went on the champion the cause of crocodile conservation.

I wouldn’t want to come across a Crocodile this big anywhere, even if it was located behind some maximum security bars!
