City Surfing at Durban, South Africa

City Surfing – walk from the Durban Central Business District to the Break!

I’m not much of a Surfer – well, I don’t Surf at all. But I don’t mind going down to the beach to check out others catching some waves.

Durban in South Africa is one of the places where a Surf Beach is located literally next to the city – or City Surfing. I spotted some locals doing their City Surfing thing, enjoying their day out in the sun. I’m guessing they were very much over the fluorescent prison that’s called the office, and frankly, I don’t blame them.

City Surfing - Durban South Africa

The people from South Africa are a friendly lot.  I was capturing some footage when one of the local Surfers started chatting to me about my video camera – so I decided to interview him instead!

Here is an interview I scored with a local called Spencer, who loves hanging out in the Durban waves whenever he has spare time for his City Surf.
